My love for French antiques began long before La Maison Ryan ever existed. As a child, some of my favorite memories were spent tagging along with my mom as she searched for beautiful old things. I think that’s where I first learned to appreciate pieces that weren’t perfect—the ones with a little wear, beautiful patina, and a story already woven into them.

Years later, I had the opportunity to live in Europe, and that early love grew into something much deeper. With French ancestry of my own, I’ve always felt a special connection to France—its history, its homes, its markets, and the effortless way old and new are layered together.

I’m drawn to pieces that feel as though they’ve lived a life before finding us. A worn farmhouse table, an old ironstone bowl, a timeworn cupboard, or a painting bearing the marks of age—those imperfections are often what make a piece most beautiful to me. They remind us that a home doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. It should feel collected, lived in, and full of stories.

Today, I have the incredible privilege of traveling to France twice a year to source antiques for La Maison Ryan. I wander markets, brocantes, fairs, and tucked-away places, hand-selecting pieces that I would be proud to bring into my own home—and even more excited to bring into yours.

What started as a little girl shopping alongside her mom has become an adventure I never could have imagined. I’m so grateful you’re here to be part of it.
