Clara French Faisselle

A wonderfully soulful piece of French culinary history, this antique stoneware faisselle was traditionally used in French cheesemaking, allowing whey to drain through the pierced sides as fresh cheese was formed. This example is especially beautiful with its rich chocolate-brown glaze, rows of drainage holes, and charming raised foot.
