Jourdain Demijohn

Steeped in rustic character, this antique French wicker-covered demijohn in dark brown once held wine or cider, carried from vineyard to cellar in the heart of the countryside. Its rich patina and tightly woven wicker speak to generations of use, while its sculptural form makes it a striking decorative piece today. Beautiful styled on its own, grouped with other bottles, or placed in a farmhouse kitchen or garden room, it is a soulful example of French provincial antiques — both practical and poetic.

All pieces in our "found" collection are antique, and as with all antiques their may be imperfections such as chips, hairline cracks or other imperfections. But that's what we think makes them even more perfect and special.
